Q-dex:

T765.3422/245.9750 M625.3733/832.12

Technology:

Classified by order of Dargothan governor.

Magic:

Magic is limited to the Cromozians. They are capable of distilling energy into matter, utilizing gravemetrical forces. Stated in plain english they use their mind, and the energy of their zone to create whatever they need, or would like.

Size:

The empire consists of two primary homeworlds - Cromozia and Dargoth. Four known star systems, with 12 colonies. Majority of the colonies are utilized as resorts leaving a handful for residential and manufacturing areas. A large asteroid amusement park separates two of the major star systems.

Population:

There are approximately 2.5 billion people living on Cromozia, and 7 billion people living on Dargoth. With 2 to 3 billion spread amongst the colonies, and other planets.

Climate and Geography:

Cromozia is a seemingly barren planet. Colored a rose colored tinge of pink, it has little in the way of mountains, the land seems flat and dry. What water there is cloudy, almost white in color. Dargotha is a lush planet, rampant with purples and blues. Green topped mountains brush the sky, and oceans of velvet green lap on black beaches. Most of the colonies were built by Dargothans, and so resemble their own homeworld, with what you might call oasis of Cromozian climate.

Flora and Fauna:

Very little beside the Cromozians exist on Cromozia. There are some small creatures that live underground, but are rarely ever seen. The only plants you will find growing on Cromozia are Franha fruit trees. These are sacred, growing only in remote areas. Dargoth is rife with plant life and animal life. They have several parks, and recreation centers to preserve and record the natural world. The moon of Carvena is covered with tundra and forest. Wildlife is abundant, and no one but Park Attendants are allowed to live there.

History:

The world shook itself awake.....it looked around, and found itself alone. It searched along its beaches, it searched among its forests, and high up in its mountains, but there was no one. It wept, and its tears fell from the sky. Rain came to the world. It sobbed, and thunder rumbled through the heavens. It struck rocks against the great mountains, and lightning lit the sky. It's anger burned and became the sun. Slowly it came to know peace, and thought returned again. It looked to the horizon, and imagined what it might be like not to be alone. It thought of conversations, and a voice spoke. It thought of humor, and laughter rang across the landscape. It thought of love, and a tall figure began to take shape. It thought of life, and a heart began to beat. It looked with awe on the being that thought had made. The world would have reached out and touched the figure, but there were no hands to do so with. It thought of this dilemma and a second more slender figure appeared. The world looked on what was made with wonder. These two beings were of its mind, and slowly they became aware of each other. They looked upon the world, and saw the giver. They were its thought children, and the world was no longer alone. The world gave them all they needed. If there was thirst the world rovided drink, if there was hunger the world provided food. The world gave them all, but thought. The world knew of thought and what it had began, and it was jealous of this power. So the world kept ignorance alive in them. So they grew to know the world, and what wonders it could give, and from the world came the question: "What can I give you?" From the figures came the question: "What more can you give, than you have not already given?" It was an innocent question, one spoken in reverence, and wonder, but it awakened in the world fear. The world feared it would lose it's companions. It began to change, and the figures began to question what was happening to the world. Questions lead to thought, and thought to more questions. Soon the world's fears were realized. One day the slender figure thought of a franha fruit and how nice it would taste, and found itself holding one. The slender one jumped in surprise, and dropped the fruit on the ground. It ran away, but never told the tall figure what had happened. The fruit began to rot, and as the world knew, what was planted grew. As time progressed, a tree stood where the fruit had been, and the slender figure returned. A question formed in its mind: "How did this come to be here? I did not ask for it, the world would not have given it, if I did not ask for it." It puzzled over this for sometime, and as memory connected with the present, it realized that it had caused this tree to be. The slender figure returned to the tall one, and told him of its discovery. The tall one would not believe the slender figure, and so it took the tall one to the tree. The tall one looked upon the tree, heavy with fruit, and questioned: "I wonder if this is real? Can it have created this as the world created me?" The Tall on reached out, and plucked a ripe fruit from the tree. With great care it brought it to its lips, and bit into the soft white flesh. The world saw what was happening, and shook with its anger. The tall one felt the world tremble, but the fruit was so delicious. He turned to the slender one and offered her some. It took, and ate also. She looked at him, and also felt the world tremble with it's rage. Slowly man became aware of woman, and he moved across the world to be at her side. When he reached out to touch her, the world had, had enough. They had forsaken the world, for each other. They had robbed him of his thoughts, and the world rolled and boiled, and pushed mountains down, and filled valleys with it's scorching tears. The figures hid amongst the caves, afraid of the world. They thought of peace, and the world began to calm. They thought of love, and the world ceased it's angry roar. Slowly the world righted itself. It looked at its children and their children, with awe. They had not forgotten the world. The figures came to know thought, and power, and love, and knew that the world provided for them. The world gave them all, but their thoughts were now their own.

This as the Cromozians see it is history. They do not have a defined calendar in the sense of keeping track of the passage of the days. They do not even count the passing of the seasons. They are born, age, and pass away. This is how they judge that time passes, and it's effect on them.

Dargothan History fills several volumes found in the Library of Sciences and History in Chrusatia. It is currently being condensed into shortened form.

Government:

This sector of the world if ruled by the Dargothans. The Cromozians have no organized government, and really have no use for the Dargothans. They allow the Dargothans to rule and to monitor the relations with other governments, and peoples. They allow this in exchange for the ability to travel to other worlds, and experience other cultures. The Dargothans control not only the government but the military as well. Seeing as how they built it all, it is only fitting that they run it. They are an organized Democratic Republic, based on intelligence, and knowledge. One cannot vote if ones IQ is not within a certain range.

Foreign Policy:

The government encourages the free crossing of it's borders. Without which, commerce would come to a screeching halt. They encourage interstellar travel, and maintain neutrality in all non-local disputes. Outsiders breaking any laws or rules are subject to fines or deportation.

Domestic Policy:

The Dargothans leave the Cromozians to themselves. They enforce no laws on Cromozia, and even if they wanted to they couldn't. On their homeworld, and all colonies, they have instituted a station of laws, which allows for free thought, speech, and creation. The Court of Intellect settles all disputes and punishes wrong doers. There is little crime, but criminals are dealt with swiftly and without mercy.

Society:

Few Cultures differ more than Cromozia and Dargoth. Where Cromozia is simple, and fluid, Dargoth is complex, and rigid. Cromozia is relaxed, and homogenous, Dargoth is fast-paced, and structured. They only commonality is their thirst for knowledge. Very little family structure, no ruling class, loose contact.

Cromozian Culture:

Infants - Must be tended, controlled, all responsible
Children - Must be taught, guided, disciplined
Adults - Self-control, responsible, functioning
Elders - Teachers, tenders, controllers

Dargothan Culture: Info Forthcoming.

Languages:

Cromozia is a society rife with languages and dialects. Small population spread out across large areas and very little necessary contact, made for several pockets of divergent speech. Dargotha has long since adopted one universal language, and this is spoken in all of the colonies. Cromozians have learned to speak Dargothan, but still maintain their own dialects.

Religion:

Info Forthcoming.

Castes:

The only hierarchy that exists on Cromozia are the Elders. They are respected, and revered, by other Cromozians. On Dargoth is a system based on age, IQ and accomplishments. As you increase your intelligence and accomplishments you move up in social ranks. You also move up in responsibility, and influence.

Economy:

The major basis for Telendrian economy is tourism. They cater to the services also. Exporting these to other quantum zones.

Military:

The Military is controlled by Dargoth. It is made up of two branches, the space core, and the land patrols. It is required for people of low IQ to enter military service. A minimum of Eight years is required. The Military also accepts volunteers, accounting for the handful of Cromozians that have entered military service. Cromozians are allowed only to serve in land patrols. The Military purpose is to control the borders, and to protect the safety of the empires customers.

Sports and Leisure:

This is the largest tourist trap in the known universe. The locals of course retreat to no mans land to recover, and to enjoy a good game of low-gravity bowling.

Major Population Centers:

The largest city on Cromozia is called Par'ties. It isn't a large city. It is dominated by a welcome center, which conflicts with the serene surroundings. It teams with visitors, but very few Cromozians. Dargoth has several large cities, they light the night sky from orbit. The Capital city is Chrusatia. It is the first stop of most of the tourists. Its museums, and theatres are famous for their cultural richness. Shopping here is considered an art form all it's own.

Chronic Problems:

Info Forthcoming.
