Overview: |
Shalandrua consists of three worlds. New Nebula, Shalin, and Midebula. The last world was formerly occupied by Midebulite race. Now Midebula is inhabited by a race of aliens unknown to the empire until they invaded and conquered the third planet.
Shalandrua has a very useful and dependable energy source. Genron crystals power most everything on New Nebula. The crystals can power a large warehouse for up to 18 months. Since only small fragments from the crystals are used, and there is a large amount of it, current reserves are estimated to last for 25,000 years. Unfortunately, the finished product of the Genron crystals (a.k.a. Dee-rod) produces radiation that adversely effects Humans. The disease caused by this radiation is called Exoen Cancer. However, it can be treated. The hopes and goal's for Shalandrua are of wide variety, but mostly they wish to travel across distant stars to make their presence known. |

Technology: |
Industry in Shalandrua varies on each planet. Shalin is very industrialized, meaning that it has hundreds of ways to produce electricity/energy. Such as the numerous ways of using Ether, and the elements of the planet. On New Nebula, technology is very low key. They mostly rely on their sorcery to weald their way in life. They do have houses for shelter, electricity, ways of transportation and a well working government. It is advised not to underestimate the Midebulites. |
Magic: |
Most magic on Shalandrua is used by the Midebulites. The people of Shalin use the power of Runes, but it is not well known among the society. Sorcery, however, is the most powerful magic of the system, and is used only by the Midebulites. Runes are also used by the Midebulites, and unlike Shalin, it is used almost as much as Sorcery. Like the technology, magic varies from planet to planet. |
Size: |
Shalandrua consist of one system with three planets. All three sustain life. The three planets are Shalin, New Nebula, and Midebula. There is one star in the system which gives light to all three planets. Shalin has two moons, Threndol and Deltona. One of which has a mass producing MSA facility.
New Nebula has one moon, which has no life what so ever on it. Midebula has no moon. As I explained in the overview Midebula was raided out by an unknown race of aliens. Do not get New Nebula and Midebula confused. |
Population: |
Due to the invasion of an unknown race of aliens, the population of this system has increased a great deal. |
Climate and Geography: |
New Nebula is more biological than the other planets. There are many plants and animals here. Climate is more humid here so that rare plants can survive. Most of the plants are used for medical reasons. There are many rainstorms and other types of precipitation but it stays mostly warm and humid. There are, however, sudden bursts of electrical storms, caused by the unbalanced atmosphere. The layout of the land is very hilly, with two mammoth mountains. Mt. Jel-korron, and Mt. Genarie, named for it's large supply of Genron crystals. Shalin is more dry than humid, with less rain than that of New Nebula. The reason for this is because it is closer to the sun star than the other planets. Midebula is much like New Nebula. |
Flora and Fauna: |
The plant life on New Nebula is extremely sacred. Most of the plants are used as medicines or food. The Midebulites use all plant life necessary. Most animal life on New Nebula is used for food. Malkus are the most used animals for food. Plant and animal life on Shalin are very scares. It is mostly dry desert with many buildings. The humans of Shalin use their mass technology to live. No up to date info. Is known on Midebula because of the unknown aliens that are there. It was very tropical. |
History: |
Void, the god that created the Midebulites, made a race of sorcerer type beings. His original plans were to have them take over the human world of Shalin. Instead, the humans defeated this evil race. The Mid's (Midebulites) were to uncooperative in their masters work and started killing them selves. Soon after, the Mid's had interbred with the humans. This change in the offspring dulled the Mid's murderous rage but lessened their power. Void had no use for them afterward, so he banished them to the tropical world of Midebula. Time passed and the Mid's had changed so much that they developed the power of emotion. This sparked the beginning of a new era for the Mid's. They soon had a well working government and kingdoms of pure beauty. Then, in a great time of happiness, a race of unknown aliens raided them out of their home. Maul, the soon to be Grand Regent of Arteria, stumbled upon a portal that lead to their new home of New Nebula. After they regained their power, the Mid's negotiated a peace treaty with the world of Shalin. Then with their powers combined, they set plans to explore the stars, but Void had plans of his own… |
Government: |
No one rules this empire. The government here varies from planet to planet. On New Nebula, the government gives its citizens the freedom to basically do what they want. There are laws they have to abide though. One is treason. Another is wrongful use of their Solance. Each region has it's own laws. Arteria is the most powerful region on New Nebula. The heart of the government is here. It has power over Arteria, Brimfair, Oudera, and the Island Of Draqunoiea. Even though Arteria has power over all but one region, the citizens have to obey the laws of that region. Arteria has no power what so ever in Norstar. Dane Klibanoff governs Shalin. He is what they call "leader". Since there is no water on Shalin and there are 9 countries, this is a particularly easy job. The leader here serves a six-year period. He is elected by the citizens of Shalin, and has the most power of the world. The leader, or Dane, chooses a representative for each country. This representative chooses laws for that country. The way this works is that the citizens of each country gather every 2 years to discuss if they need new laws or not. Then they give the law to the representative and he either passes it or discards it. This goes the same for all the other countries.
Foreign Policy:Since Shalandrua has not developed any type of interstellar travel they have no foreign policy. Domestic Policy:The domestic policy on Shalin says that the citizens of a country must follow the laws given by the representative, of that country. They have a very low tax burden on the citizens. Most of the tax comes from water. They have the freedom of speech to a certain extent. They only enforce it if it concerns the safety of the Leader. In each country there is a group of Enforcers, kind of like the police. They have the right to search and seize if they have a signed script by the representative of that country, saying that they can do so legally. Any attempt to search a dwelling, or any personal belongings, without a script is considered immoral and justly wrong. On New Nebula, the government deals with its people about the same as the government on Shalin. The difference is that on New Nebula, the punishment for breaking a law is stricter. For example, a Mid (Midebulite) uses his Solence power, in this case persuasion, to further his political status, or in other words, the wrongful use of the Solance. This law exists in all the regions, but Norstar, and is punishable by death. They let their people do basically what they want, but they do have to abide by the laws. There is no tax here. There is a code of morals that each Mid usually follows. There is no punishment for not doing so, but the accused will be publicly dishonored. Freedom of speech is common here. The government withholds no secrets from their citizens. The citizens know everything about the government, and the government knows everything about the citizens. Guardians are the police type law enforcers. 30 worriers from each region are chosen to guard and protect the citizens of each region, except Norstar. |
Society: |
Society on Shalin is more peaceful than violent, but there are problems within the society. One is that there is a class level among the people. There are four levels, upper, average, lower, and homeless. All of which interact with each other. The levels have nothing what so ever to do with the government. This class system is not that harsh anymore. It was developed to sort out the "scrubs" from the "Well to do". It no longer has any strong affect on the public, but it dose have a very little importance. Society is based around families. There aren't very many cultures here. One of the most popular cultures is Solery, or the worship of the Sun goddess Sunnora. Another popular culture is Oriqua, the worship of the rain god Emric. This culture believes that the rains will come again and give life to their planet. There are others like E-lin, worrier god, and Flengol goddess of peace that are very rarely practiced. Social interaction is constant. There are a lot of places to interact with people. It's just like any other human interaction. There is only one language spoken on Shalin, and it is Arien. Other languages are taught but the most spoken is Arien. There is no slavery here. On New Nebula, society is much the same but there is no class level. There is no religion here. Another difference is that society is based around clans, instead families. Social interaction is either working or being in the monthly street fair. There are 5 groups of people. Arterians, The Brimfarieans, Pure Midebulites, Ouderen, and half dragon half wolf people, beater known as Draquonieans. Language here is mostly spoken in Aulin, the official language of the Midebulites. The Arterians, Brimfaireans, and the Ouderen also speak Aulen, but limit themselves to that tongue.

Economy: |
On New Nebula there is no money. They trade supplies, such as Genron crystals, for what ever is needed at the time. On Shalin there are three types of currency, Tekton, Gold, and Silver. The most valuable resources are Genron crystals, Tekton, The staff of Koshearah, and the three pearls of Phantoon. All types of people throughout the empire work. |
Military: |
The military on Shalin is made up of highly trained soldiers that can do anything from hand-to-hand combat to MSA operation. About 25% of the inhabitants on Shalin are in the Military. The Leader controls the Military. On New Nebula the Military consists of the most powerful Midebulites on the planet. This is judged by the Solence in each one. The leader of the military is Maulis Astin, or Maul. He also has the most powerful Solence power on New Nebula, which is energy manipulation. The military has about 1,000 of the strongest Mid's inlisted. With the new trade law New Nebula and Shalin has, New Nebula has more weaponry to add more strength to their power. |
Sports and Leisure: |
After the Midebulites were raided out by the unknown race of aliens there has not been much "fun" going on. On Shalin they have an inventors ball which accurse each year. At the last gathering the first place winner was Trech Godspeed, with the invention of the MSA (Mechanical Suit of Armor). |
Major Population Centers: |
On New Nebula the best place to visit is Castle Mokendrea, in the region of Arteria. Here is the great Sword of the Four Kings, which was once believed to have immense power. On Shalin the whole planet is a great place to visit, but if you are looking for excitement the place to go is the Presidio. Here you can see the test operation of the MSA and the new Loadis 3 missile. |
Chronic Problems: |
The major problems within the empire are causing too much panic. The major problem is that Void, the god of the Mid's, is trying to get rid of them so he can create a new race that will destroy the human world of Shalin. The reason that he wants to kill off the Mid's is that he dose not want any resistance put against his new creation. Another threat is the unknown race of aliens that raided out the world of Midebula. No one had any idea why they are there or what they are. One other threat to the empire is the pure Midebulites that live in Norstar. The pure Mid's are still completely evil and still trying to carry out their master's command. They are also in constant war with the other regions of New Nebula. |
